Refund Policy
Covers charges made from October 14, 2026
Payments to BoldDomains are final. Appraisal subscriptions are refunded only in the three cases listed below, and a domain you bought is either transferred to you or its price is returned. You can run demo appraisals before choosing a plan, and you can stop a plan from renewing at any time in your account.
Domain names
Each listed domain is sold once, outright, at the agreed price. Once the name has been transferred to your registrar account, the sale is complete and cannot be undone or refunded, including where you later decide the name does not suit your project, rebrand, or find a cheaper alternative. If we cannot complete the transfer of a name you paid for, the price you paid is returned to you.
Appraisal plans
Broker and Portfolio are monthly or yearly subscriptions to the appraisal tools, with the limits listed on the pricing page. The fee pays for access during the billing period, not for each name you value. Access opens in full at the start of the period, however many appraisals you run. Subscribing asks us to start the service straight away, and where a statutory withdrawal right or cooling-off period would otherwise apply, you accept that it ends once the service has begun.
The only refunds on a plan
- Charged twice. A billing fault on our side took payment two times for one period.
- Card used without your consent. You report it within 14 days of the charge and the account and payment records confirm it. The claim alone is not enough, and we may ask you to confirm that your card issuer has been told.
- Total outage. A fault we confirmed made the appraisal tools completely unusable for a continuous stretch, you reported it while it lasted, and we could not resolve it. Slow results, missing comparable sales for a niche extension, or problems on your device do not count.
A refund needs supporting records, is capped at what you paid for the affected period, goes back only to the card that was charged, and settles our liability for that charge. It does not give a right to any later refund.
Not grounds for a refund
- You sold or dropped your portfolio, or no longer need appraisals.
- You ran few or no appraisals in a paid period.
- A renewal was charged, including after earlier declined attempts.
- You took the plan for a one-time payment, although every plan renews and this is shown at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account.
- You did not cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled just after it.
- You disagree with an estimated value. Valuations are estimates based on recorded sales, not offers to buy, and the demo appraisals let you judge them first.
- A feature you wanted is not described on the pricing page, or works differently than you expected.
- You chose the wrong plan or billing period.
- Time remaining after you cancel. Access lasts to the end of the period and is not pro-rated.
- Someone else used your account with your login.
How to ask
Email support@bolddomains.com from the address on your account within 14 days of the charge, with the date, the amount and the case that applies. Later requests, or requests sent another way, are not reviewed. We work through them in order of arrival, with no guaranteed reply time, and a declined request stays declined.
Cancelling a plan
A plan renews automatically until you cancel it in your account, which you can do yourself at any time. Cancelling ends all future renewals at once, keeps your access until the paid period finishes, and is not a refund request. When a new period starts its fee is due; a declined card leaves it owed and the charge is retried over the following days on the same invoice. Cancelling during those retries stops later renewals but not the invoice for the period already under way, which is not refundable. Cancel before the renewal date shown in your account to avoid the next charge.
Chargebacks and records
Opening a chargeback without first contacting us breaches our Terms of Service and leads to the account being closed permanently, with the records below passed to the card issuer.
By creating an account you accept the Terms of Service, of which this policy is part, and the Privacy Policy. For every purchase we keep its time, the price and plan shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and an activity log of the account (sign-ins, appraisals, offers and transfers) with the technical details recorded at the time. The payment operator keeps its own record of each charge, including card country, payment origin and the outcome of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Claims of unauthorised charges are checked against these records.
Older purchases
Purchases made before October 14, 2026 stay under the refund terms published at the time they were made.
