For founders, investors and brokers about to name a price
GoDaddy Domain Appraisal Alternative and a domain appraisal tool that shows its comps
GoDaddy gives you a number. Before you send an offer, set a buy now price or answer a buyer, you need the reasons behind it. Each appraisal here comes back with a dollar figure, two or three sentences on why, and the closest recorded sales we hold for that kind of name.

The short answer: GoDaddy domain appraisal is free, fast and good at telling a strong name from a weak one. GoDaddy rebuilt the model in August 2026 and raised its ceiling from $25,000 to $1,000,000, so many figures jumped. It is a sorting tool owned by the company that runs Afternic, and its single number is hard to defend in a negotiation. When money is about to change hands, use an appraisal that writes out its reasoning and lists comparable sales you can check.
GoDaddy Appraisal in 2026 and What Changed
If a name you priced last year now shows a very different GoDaddy value, this is why. Dates and figures come from GoDaddy's announcements and Domain Name Wire's reporting.

Why a GoDaddy Value Rarely Settles a Negotiation
Buyers used to quote a low GoDaddy figure to talk sellers down. Since the August 2026 rebuild, sellers quote the new, higher figure back. Both sides know the number came from the company that also runs Afternic, the marketplace where many of those names are listed, so neither side treats it as neutral.
What moves a negotiation is evidence the other side can check: which names like this one sold, for how much, where and when, and what holds this particular name back. That is the format of every appraisal on this page.

When GoDaddy Appraisal Is Enough
Keep using GoDaddy for
- Sorting a long list into "maybe" and "skip" at no cost
- A rough sense of scale before you look closer
- Names you will hand-register for $10 and never negotiate over
Use an appraisal with comps for
- Countering a seller who asked five figures
- Setting a buy now price that sells within months
- .ai and .io names, where figures swung hardest in 2026
- A portfolio valued for sale, with a CSV a buyer can check

GoDaddy Domain Appraisal Questions
Is GoDaddy domain appraisal accurate?
It is good at ranking names and weaker at exact prices. Domain Name Wire's June 2026 review found GoDaddy sorted strong names from weak ones well but priced on the low side. The model rebuilt in August 2026 now returns much higher figures, with a median rise above 11x on one investor's test batch. Use it as a first screen, then check comparable sales.
Is GoDaddy appraisal free?
Yes, single appraisals on GoDaddy's appraisal page are free, with a daily limit GoDaddy does not publish. Bulk valuation is paid: the GoValue API is listed at $99.99 a month for 1,000 valuations a day and $499.99 a month for 5,000 a day.
How does GoDaddy value a domain?
GoDaddy says its GoValue model uses machine learning trained on more than 65 million data points, including GoDaddy and Afternic domain transactions. Since August 2026 it returns values up to $1,000,000, shown as $1,000,000+ above that, where the old ceiling was $25,000. GoDaddy itself advises weighing the figure against evidence of buyer interest.
What is the most accurate domain appraisal tool?
No automated tool predicts sale prices consistently, so the most useful one shows its work. Domain Name Wire's 2026 review of 11 tools picked Atom overall for showing comparables and not over-specifying prices. For a name you are about to buy or sell, use an appraisal with written reasoning and recorded sales you can verify. Our EstiBot alternative page compares subscription tools.
Can I appraise domains in bulk on GoDaddy?
Not on the free page. GoDaddy closed its public bulk appraisal tool on June 8, 2021, and bulk access now runs through the paid GoValue API or Premier Services account managers. Our Portfolio plan values a pasted list, 1,000 names a month, and exports the results to CSV. The bulk domain appraisal tools comparison covers the other options.
