Dynadot Marketplace Alternative for Brandable Names Sold Outright

The Dynadot marketplace mixes names from thousands of its own customers, names held at other registrars and Afternic stock. If you want a name you can put on a pitch deck, with the price shown and no monthly plan to keep alive, our brandable domains are a single portfolio we own and sell outright.

546 priced names in stock: 225 .com, 262 .ai, 40 .io. 123 under $1,000, from $100.

Search priced names

Type a word, an industry or a sound you like. Every result shows a buy-now price and an offer button.

The short answer: the Dynadot marketplace is a legitimate registrar marketplace where the seller pays a 10% commission and a Dynadot-held name arrives the moment you pay. The catches are on the edges. Afternic listings can take 10 to 20 business days, names you buy sit under a Buy Lock, and on an installment plan every payment is non-refundable and the name goes back to the seller 14 days after a missed payment. If you want a curated .com, .ai or .io you pay for once, a priced portfolio like ours is the shorter path.

The installment fine print

What a Dynadot Payment Plan Commits You To

Sellers can switch on a payment plan for any marketplace or auction listing priced at $100 or more. You choose 2 to 12 monthly installments, up to the maximum the seller allows, and pay a 15% down payment plus the first installment at checkout. Expired auction orders cap out at 10 months.

The name lands in your account under a buy lock, so you can point DNS at your site and set up email, but you cannot move it. Then the clock matters. Dynadot's own payment plan page sets out what happens when a payment is late, and it is short and unforgiving.

How Long a Dynadot Purchase Takes to Reach You

The listing page tells you where the name is registered. Most buyers skim past it, and it decides whether you launch on time.

If you have a launch in two weeks and the name you like is an Afternic listing, the Dynadot purchase may not be in your hands in time. Our Dynadot marketplace review walks through each listing type, the Buy Lock and the Trustpilot record in more detail.

When a Priced Portfolio Beats a Registrar Marketplace

You are naming a company, not trading names. Dynadot's search shows everything its customers list, which is great for investors and slow for a founder. Our catalogue is short on purpose, and the deepest part of it is our two word domains.

The installment plan was the only reason the price worked. Before you sign up for twelve non-refundable payments, check our domains under $1,000. 30 names are under $500, often less than the down payment and three installments on a bigger name.

Your domains live at another registrar. A Dynadot purchase means a Dynadot account and a Buy Lock before you can move the name. Ours go straight to the registrar you already use.

You want .ai or .io. We hold 262 .ai and 40 .io names, all priced. AI founders usually start with our .ai domains for sale.

Four Checks Before Buying a Name on Dynadot

Read the listing type

Dynadot-held, another registrar or Afternic. The answer moves delivery from minutes to four weeks.

Price the whole plan

Add the 15% down payment to every installment, then ask whether each card charge will clear. Three days late switches the domain off.

Verify your account first

Large first purchases on a new account are what trigger security reviews. Clear them before the deal, not during it.

Price two alternatives

The seller's 10% commission often shows in the price. Our guide to premium domain cost shows what each price band buys.

Being fair

Where the Dynadot Marketplace Is the Better Choice

Price floor and choice. Dynadot shows far more names than any single portfolio, including closeouts and expired auctions where a decent name can go for tens of dollars. If your budget is under $100, that is where to look, and we will not pretend otherwise. Our cheapest name is $100.

Monthly payments. If spreading the cost really is the only way the budget works, Dynadot offers that and we do not. Go in with the 3 day and 14 day rules in mind and set the card to a balance that will never bounce.

Existing accounts. If your domains already sit at Dynadot, a Dynadot-held name lands in your account the moment you pay and the Buy Lock costs you nothing. If the name you want is on another platform, our buyer pages for Porkbun, Epik and Afternic compare them the same way, and our NameSilo marketplace review covers the other registrar with installment plans.

Dynadot Marketplace Buyer FAQ

Is Dynadot marketplace legit?

Yes. Dynadot is an ICANN-accredited registrar and its marketplace runs inside the same account you use to hold the name afterwards. A name already registered at Dynadot moves into your account when you pay. The risks are delivery time on names held elsewhere and the strict rules of its installment plan, not fraud.

How does the Dynadot payment plan work?

On listings of $100 or more the seller can allow monthly installments over 2 to 12 months. You pay a 15% down payment plus the first installment, the name sits in your account under a buy lock so you can change DNS but not transfer it, and it becomes fully yours after the last payment.

What happens if I miss a payment on a Dynadot payment plan?

Dynadot's payment plan page says that after 3 days without payment the domain is disabled and put on hold, and after 14 days it returns to the seller. All payments made are non-refundable and the seller keeps them, so a missed payment late in the plan can cost most of the price and the name.

How long does it take to get a domain bought on the Dynadot marketplace?

A name already registered at Dynadot lands in your account right after payment. A name held at another registrar waits on the seller to start a transfer. Afternic and partner listings shown on Dynadot can take up to 10 to 20 business days to process, according to Dynadot's own help page.

What is a good alternative to the Dynadot marketplace?

If you want a short brandable .com, .ai or .io with the price on the card, paid once and delivered to the registrar you already use, a curated portfolio is simpler. BoldDomains sells its own 546 priced names, 123 of them under $1,000, with buy now or make an offer on every name. See the full domain marketplace.
